To download and use the files we have provided, you must:
- Obtain an access password from County Heritage Forest Products Ltd.
- Download the DWG files into an appropriate file folder.
- Open the detail sheet that you would like to place the cad details.
- Minimize this detail sheet.
- Open another session of AutoCAD.
- Go to File - Open.
- Go to the file folder that the DWG files were downloaded into from the net.
- Click the required drawing that you would like to open.
- Zoom to choose the desired drawing details.
- Click crossing on the outside perimeter of the drawing profile only if hatching etc. is not desired. Click crossing on the outside perimeter, the hatching, text and /or dimensions if one wants to transfer the extra details.
- Press Control C to transfer the chosen profile details to the original detail sheet.
- Minimize the drawing file folder.
- Maximize the original detail sheet. Place you cursor at the approximate location of the original detail sheet that you would like to drop the copied drawing.
- Press Control V to load the profile drawing on the detail sheet.
- Explode the profile drawing to enable the complete manipulation of the drawing as a polyline drawing. The drawing can be rotated, reflected, stretched etc as required to suite the circumstance.
It is convenient to bring the text with the drawing at step 9 and relocate it as required for product identification.
The door detail drawings are handled in the same fashion as the trim drawings but the door drawings are blocks.
Many users create a trim and/or door detail sheet that contains the most common profiles used as a convenience for their repetitive use.
Note that profiles with an * preceding their code number are profiles that we maintain an inventory of in Oak and Poplar. Other profiles; if quantities are small, may incur a set up charge.
